Pickups
I currently have two designs for humbucking pickups. Both feature asymmetrically wound coils, with the hope of increasing dynamic range and providing a full frequency response. One design utilizes bar magnets, the other uses individual rod magnets.
Although they share a general clarity, both sound distinct. The bar magnet design lends itself to bright and detailed tones, whereas the rod magnet design is more warm and thick.
